Clearing Permit
Description A clearing permit is neeeded to remove a tree from a developed or undeveloped property.

Decisionmaker The Planning and Development Director makes the final decision.

Appeals The Director's decision can be appealed to the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Expiration of approval An approved clearing permit automatically expires 12 months after the date of the decision unless substantial work, as authorized by the approval, has commenced and continues in good faith to completion. (verify)

  • Land disturbance (under 10 acres): $150.00
  • Other clearing activities: Dependent on scope of work
  • Tree removal on developed property: $100.00 per tree
  • Tree removal on undeveloped property: $100.00 per lot
